我的项目主要是采用多种生态学研究方法来研究自然和人为干扰生境下的生物多样性及其生态系统过程,并通过在斑块化热带雨林与橡胶地进行跨海拔梯度的昆虫调查,来了解不同气候条件下(温度随海拔升高而降低)人为干扰对生物多样性的影响。不同海拔带分布的昆虫是研究“气候变化影响”的重要指示物种。我的研究提出了人为干扰对未来气候变化的影响至关重要。我的项目研究提供了保护生物多样性和减轻人为干扰影响的方法。
